What matters to us
At LaFit, material selection is not an afterthought — it is the foundation of every design decision. We choose fabrics that support the body, respect the skin, and hold their integrity overtime. No shortcuts. No polyester-first thinking.
WHY IT MATTERS
The case for better fabrics.
Most activewear on the market is made predominantly from polyester — a synthetic material that retains heat, resists breathability, and sits directly against the skin during exercise. We believe women deserve better.
LaFit prioritises natural and low-impact alternatives: materials that move with the body, breathe through exertion, and feel as good on hour three of your day as they did in your morning class.
our materials.
Organic Cotton
Breathable, naturally soft, and kind to sensitive skin. Our organic cotton pieces are designed for everyday ease and lower-impact movement — rib tanks, layering essentials, and relaxed silhouettes that wear beautifully beyond the studio.
TENCEL™
Derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp, TENCEL™ is exceptionally soft, moisture-managing, and gentle on the skin. It drapes cleanly and holds its shape, making it ideal for fluid, relaxed silhouettes in the Flow and Soft edits.
Modal Blends
Modal is a semi-synthetic fibre known for its silky texture, stretch recovery, and breathability. Our modal blends are used in pieces that require both softness and structure — garments that move with you through dynamic sessions without losing their form.
High-Grade Performance Fabrics
Where compression and durability are required — in the Contour Collection and Ava Silhouette — we use high-grade performance fabrics for targeted support, stretch retention, and longevity. Not generic polyester blends, but carefully chosen performance textiles used only where natural fibres cannot meet the demands of the design.
LaFit avoids polyester-heavy construction wherever possible. We are not marketing ourselves as a fully organic brand — we are honest about the realities of performance activewear. Where high-grade performance fabric is used, it is used intentionally, for a structural purpose, not as a default.
Our long-term direction is toward lower-impact materials throughout every collection.
